It was a big milestone for Carpenter and the rest of the Tundra team — his wife, Karen, marketing guy Bill Kellogg and longtime helper Zack Lamphier. Carpenter grew up all over Alaska — dad was an Alaska Wildlife Trooper — but landed in Wasilla sometime around the fifth grade. He went to high school here.
